A hinge module of a sliding type portable terminal and the sliding type portable terminal using the same are provided to facilitate assembly while offering an elastic effect like two springs. A first fixing unit(140) is combined to a fixing plate(120). A second fixing unit(150) is combined to a moving plate(160) sliding on the fixing plate. An elastic member(130) connects the first and the second fixing unit. The elastic member is formed in a ring shape.
