PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar code scanner automatically preventing misreading when reading a bar code of the same commodity by the stationary-type bar code scanner in register adjustment.;SOLUTION: This commodity identification information input device has: a commodity identification information reading means optically reading commodity identification information for identifying a commodity; a commodity identification information registration means registering the commodity identification information read by the commodity identification information reading means in a point-of-sale information management device; and a control means controlling the commodity identification information registration means such that when the number of the commodities is inputted by a commodity number input means for inputting the number of the commodities and several pieces of the same commodity identification information are consecutively read by the commodity identification information reading means, registration of the consecutively read commodity identification information is not executed for a number of times obtained by subtracting 1 from the number of the item.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
