PURPOSE: A location recognition system using an RFID for block transportation in a shipyard is provided to sense a shape and position of a target block by obtaining a coordinate through recognition of an RFID tag.;CONSTITUTION: In a location recognition system using an RFID for block transportation in a shipyard, an RFID tag(10) is buried under the ground by a certain interval. An ID and latitude and longitude are stored in the RFID tag, and the RFID reader recognizes a coordinate of the RFID tag. A laser rangefinder and a direction angle sensor are built in a location and geometry-measuring apparatus(200). A location and geometry-measuring apparatus measure the distance from the coordinate of the RFID tag to the target block.
