PURPOSE: A wood burning device and a method of burning wood is provided to improve profitability by keeping combustion heat and delaying combustion and to reduce smoke by burning almost all of smoke again with combustion heat.;CONSTITUTION: A wood burning device comprises the followings. A lower plate(12) is detachably attached on the lower part of a body(11). A combustion chamber(13) is formed at the inner center of the lower plate. A re-exhausting hole is formed on the lower part of the combustion chamber. A chimney(16) with an opening/closing control plate(17) is formed on the upper part of a stove body.
