PURPOSE: A side testing method on a micro drill bit is provided to inspect the micro drill bit rapidly by extracting data on web angle and comparing the data with standard web angle.;CONSTITUTION: A side testing method on a micro drill bit comprises following steps. A standard numerical value and error range on the web angle of a micro drill bit are set up(11). The micro drill bit is injected into the jig for testing(12). A CCD camera takes pictures of the side of the drill bit(13). The web angle is detected from images photographed in the side reflection imaging stage(14).
