PURPOSE: A machine fluid composition for warm or hot rolling of magnesium and/or magnesium alloy is provided to prevent surface defect generated during the process without firing. CONSTITUTION: A machine fluid composition for warm or hot rolling of magnesium and/or magnesium alloy comprises 50-95 weight parts of polyol ester base oil; 4.3-50 weight parts of lubricant selected from mineral oil, polybutene and alcohol; and 0.2-5 weight parts of lubrication enhancer selected from phosphate of aromatic amine and phosphate or aliphatic amine. The polyol ester is synthesized by linear or branched fatty acid of 6-18 carbon atoms and polyvalent alcohol of 6-16 carbon atoms.
