SYSTEM, METHOD AND SET-TOP BOX FOR PROVIDING FUNCTION OF DISPLAYING RESIDUAL DATE AND EXPIRATION DATE FOR EACH VOD CONTENT IN VOD SERVICE USING IPTV NETWORK

A system, a method and a settop box for providing a function of displaying residual days and an expiration date for each VOD content are provided to display the expiration date and residual days of a VOD contents service, thereby effectively watching the VOD contents before the expiration date. A VOD server(300) provides VOD contents to a settop box(100) of a user through an internet network(200). An EPG server(500) provides the VOD contents channel information to the settop box of the user through the internet network. A contents information management server(400) provides information about a VOD contents service providing expiration date and residual days until the expiration date to the settop box of the user through the internet network. The contents information management server comprises a contents information DB(410) and a contents management control unit(420). The service expiration date and residual days corresponding to VOD contents stored in a VOD contents DB(310) are stored in the contents information DB. The contents management control unit updates and stores the residual days.
