Business process management system and method in RFID middleware

A system and a method for managing business processes in RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) middleware are provided to start or stop each business process without affecting start and stop of a middleware engine by monitoring a state of business independently. An RFID middleware(2000) includes adaptors(2002) converting data obtained by an external device(2060) including an RFID reader, filters(2004) filtering the converted data, and report generators(2006) converting the filtered data to the data suitable for an application system(2080). A middleware management system(2020) controls/manages the adaptors, the filters, and the report generators. A business manager(2040) stores/manages the adaptors, the filters, and the report generators by each business process. The business manager includes a business ID storing part(2042) managing all business processes by assigning an ID to each business process, and a user interface(2050) for providing a tool, which enables a user to monitor, correct, delete and add the business processes. The user interface includes a business list unit and a business information provider.
