Delivery system using pectinate gel beads entrapping catechin-loaded liposomes

A new pectin carrier is provided to enlarge the capture efficiency of drug and suppress the release speed of drug, so that it is useful in health food for prevention and treatment of obesity, arteriosclerosis or hypertension. The new pectin carrier entrapping catechin-loaded liposomes is prepared by entrapping the catechin-loaded liposomes within the bead in which the pectin and calcium ion form the ion gel, wherein the pectin carrier is coated with cellulose derivative, and controls the release rate of catechin and increases the entrapping effects.
