Carbon paste composition for areal heating element added with self switch function

A carbon paste composition for a plate type heating element is provided to prevent overheat by blocking the excess current flown to circuit in case of being overheated over the specific temperature, and accidents due to the fire. A carbon paste composition for a plate type heating element comprises modified polyacrylate and additionally thermostat wax. The modified polyacrylate is phase-changed to an amorphous structure from a crystalline structure in a temperature range of 30-70°C. The modified polyacrylate is contained in the amount of 5-30 weight% based on the total weight of the composition. The thermostat wax is polyethylene-based or petroleum resin-based wax.
