A method for improving quality of media service in a multi-party interactive collaboration system is provided to configure a interactive collaboration environment flexibly by utilizing various types of media tools desired by a user as well as a pre-set media tool. A media tool connector of the first collaboration node generates a VDG(Video Distribution Group) and transfers it to a media supply service(S101). A media tool connector of the second collaboration node, which receives the media transmitted by the first collaboration node, requests a media reception service to participated in the VDG(S103). The media reception service provides a VDG participation permission signal to the media tool connector of the second collaboration node(S105), and the media tool connector of the second collaboration node participates in the VDG(S107). The media supply service transmits a media stream to the media reception service(S109). The media tool connector of the first collaboration node and that of the second collaboration node request their network monitoring services to execute network monitoring(S111). The network monitoring service of the first collaboration node transmits a probe packet to the network monitoring service of the second collaboration node(S113) and the network monitoring service of the second collaboration node transmits a reply with respect to the probe packet(S115). The network monitoring service of the first collaboration node periodically measures a packet loss rate(S117) and transmits the measured packet loss rate to the media tool connector of the first collaboration node and that of the second collaboration node(S119). The media tool connector of the first collaboration node compares the packet loss rate with a pre-set reference value(S121) and performs mode switching to control QoS(Quality of Service)(S123). If the packet loss rate is higher than the reference value, the media tool connector of the first collaboration node requests the media tool connector of the second collaboration node to be switched to a group setting mode(S125). The media tool connector of the second collaboration node participates in a different VDG which belongs to a VDGSET(a set of homomorphic VDGs) and provides the second best quality(S127).
