APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RECEIVING SIGNAL FOR EXTENT LIMITATION OF TIMING SYNCHRONIZATION IN MB-OFDM UWB SYSTEM

An apparatus and method for receiving signal for extent limitation of timing synchronization in MB-OFDM UWB system is provided to guarantee the stable receiving performance even in the system environment in which the frequency offset is serious. The receiving device(1200) of the MB-OFDM UWB system includes two shift registers(1212, 1214), two packet detection(1216, 1220) and timing synchronization, the comparator(1224), and the routing selector(1226). The shift register classifies sampled digital samples into respective first data and the second data path. The respective packet detection and timing synchronization performs the packet detection and timing synchronization about two data paths. The comparator compares t the cross-correlation value of the timing synchronization spot in two data paths. The routing selector selects data of the route having the larger cross-correlation value.
