capacity control system has a valve which closes the inlet of the one or more cylinders in a multi- cylinder compressor . The valve is actuated by the fluid from the discharge pressure to react against a piston to close the inlet . The orifice is located within the flow of the fluid from the discharge pressure to control the speed of the piston so as to improve the reliability and reduce the impact load .
