A method for selecting optimum electricity rate schedules using data from automatic meter reading system is provided to determine power consumption patterns by analyzing a substantial data to provide a reasonable electricity rate schedules. An initial standard value or previous simulation condition are modified and inputted based on power consumption information of a user inputted through a terminal of an electricity consumption house(ST1). A monthly maximum demand power and a charge applied power are checked according to condition(ST2). A monthly power factor information is checked from the checked maximum demand power and charge applied power(ST3). A simulation for an applicable charging system is performed(ST4). A simulation for indicating a support fund about a demand management option is performed(ST5). A simulation according to the maximum demand power or a load variation is performed(ST6).Clients who spent similar amount of electric power are searched, and the power consumption patterns are compared(ST7). The optimum electricity rate is outputted(ST9).
