METHOD FOR PRODUCING MAGNESIUM COMPOUND FROM WASTE MAG CARBON REFRACTORY

A manufacturing method of magnesium compounds from waste magcarbone-C(MgO-C) refractory is provided to manufacture magnesium hydroxide and magnesium oxide compound of a high purity with a high yield by recycling waste magcarbone brick disused by reclamation. A manufacturing method of magnesium compounds from waste magcarbone-C(MgO-C) refractory comprises steps of: pulverizing waste magnesia carbon brick; reacting the pulverized waste magnesia carbon brick with a strong acid, filtering the pulverized waste magnesia carbon brick and separating a liquor; agitating a filtered liquor, reacting the filtered liquor with a base and producing a magnesium hydroxide; drying generated magnesium compounds; and incinerating obtained magnesium compounds to 600~800°C. The acid comprises a hydrochloric acid.
