A method for predicting static recrystallization fraction of steel material is provided to predict accurate recrystallization velocity and fraction in various processing conditions, based on data about the size distribution of austenite crystal. A method for predicting static recrystallization fraction of steel material comprises a step of obtaining softening fraction value according to the deformation amount in a torsion test, a step of determining as recrystallization fraction when the value converges the specific value, a step of varying the torsion test condition and obtaining the time during which the recrystallization fraction reaches 50% and apparent recrystallization activation energy constant, a step of calculating the time for 50% recrystallization completion of a specimen surface by using the time and the rate of 50% recrystallization completion, a step of calculating the time for 50% recrystallization completion on the radial regions of the specimen, a step of calculating recrystallization fraction on the surface and radial regions of the specimen and radial direction by using the calculated time, and a step of calculating average recrystallization fraction.
