ALIGNING METHOD OF FERROELECTRIC LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND FERROELECTRIC LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An alignment method of a ferroelectric LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a ferroelectric LCD using the alignment method are provided to improve color characteristic and display motion pictures. CONSTITUTION: A mask having a predetermined opening pattern is arranged on an alignment film formed on an upper substrate of a LCD panel. The alignment film is rubbed through the mask. A mask having a predetermined opening pattern is arranged on an alignment film formed on a lower substrate of the LCD panel. The alignment film formed on the lower substrate is rubbed in the same direction as the rubbing direction of the alignment film of the upper substrate through the mask. Ferroelectric liquid crystal is injected into the LCD panel. The opening of the mask has a size similar to a liquid crystal cell size.
