FIELD: heating.;SUBSTANCE: method of massif ice surface production for speed skating competitions and training includes the stages when ice massif is prepared for the subsequent ice laying and chopped mechanically to the depth no more than 35 mm in single operation with the first ice layer pouring and freezing with clean water and polyvinylpyrolidone (PVP) additives and glycerin. Concentrations of the above ingredients are as follows, in wt %: from 0.000025 to 0.000625 for PVP and from 0.00125 to 0.0125 for glycerin at temperature selected from the interval from +40°C to +75°C. The first ice layer is cured during the period selected from 3 to 48 hour interval. Coolant temperature in the ice massif plate pipes is selected from the 9°C to -16°C interval. Then the first layer is mechanically chopped to the depth no more than 0.35 mm in single operation and the second layer is poured and frozen with clean water at the temperature selected from +40°C to +75°C interval. The second layer is cured during the time from 3 to 24 hour interval. The coolant temperature in the ice massif plate pipes is selected from the 9°C to -16°C.;EFFECT: production of ice with maximum sliding speed.;15 cl, 2 dwg
