FIELD: physics; measurement.;SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to operation of machines and can be used for diagnosing an internal combustion engine. The method involves measuring pulsation amplitude of pressure level in the central oil line of the engine, on the section between the filter and crankshaft bearings in one cycle under maximum load and without load in the next cycle. The pulsation amplitude of the pressure level is successively measured from cycle to cycle for each group of bearings, for which there is a load. The ratio of the pulsation amplitude of the pressure level under a load to the pulsation amplitude of pressure level without load for each group of bearings is calculated. The obtained value is compared to a standard value, defined for a new engine, and from the comparison, the degree of wear of any of the diagnosed bearings is determined. Such an implementation increases accuracy of evaluating the technical state of an engine.;EFFECT: increased accuracy of evaluating technical state of an engine.;4 dwg
