FIELD: medical engineering.;SUBSTANCE: device for breast bone incarceration after longitudinal sternotomy includes long element carrying hook-like claw immobile in lengthwise direction of the long element and second hook-like claw moving in lengthwise direction of the long element. Element has form of hollow screw with fastening element. A rod made of soft material, such as plastic coated with bactericide substance, is inserted into the cavity of fastening element. Hook-like claw immobile in lengthwise direction of the hollow screw is mounted on the hollow screw and can rotate freely. Mobile hook-like claw can move in lengthwise direction of the hollow screw. Second hook-like claw is connected by thread with the hollow screw.;EFFECT: relatively simple construction, possibility to tighten tissue smoothly, without discreet steps, weaken compression if necessary and cut excessively long element after application of device by relatively small effort.;7 cl, 9 dwg
