Oral sample breakfast is suggested for diagnostics of carbohydrate metabolism disturbance in vertebrate, which contains the following components: (a) from 35 to 55 wt % of glycemic polysaccharide; (b) from 10 to 35 wt % of mono- and disaccharides containing glucose; (c) from 10 to 25 wt % of dietary fat, and (d) from 5 to 8 wt % of dietary protein, at that breakfast provides selected amount of glycemic carbohydrate, which is efficient for increase of glucose levels in vertebrate blood, and contains less than 0.5 wt % of soluble fibre. Method is suggested for diagnostics of carbohydrate metabolism disturbance in vertebrate. Method is suggested for determination of glucose concentration after food intake in vertebrate.
