FIELD: agriculture; fire-fighting.;SUBSTANCE: proposed technique is to be deployed for suppression of fires within localities characterised by relief complexity, vast linear extents and larger areas. Fire-fighting machinery is delivered to the fire hot-spot location followed by installation of a ramified fast-assembled modular pipeline system. After that water is supplied to the fire hot-spot with the pipeline system branches extended both in the frontal and the radial directions during the fire-fighting. The fire locally suppressed, one proceeds with supply of water to the hot-spot confined to a strap 300-400 m wide and 40-50 m deep; at the same time the pipeline system branches are additionally extended both in the frontal and the radial directions with the previously mounted branches of the pipeline system that have ceased to be used for fire-fighting purposes dismantled and their component parts transported to the site areas where fire suppression is still in progress. Supply of water is discontinued after the fire has been completely extinguished.;EFFECT: improved fire suppression efficiency; increased distance of water supply to the fire hot-spot.;3 cl, 2 dwg
