METHOD FOR BLAST-FURNACE SMELTING ON MAGNESIA-ALUMINOUS SLAGS

FIELD: technological processes; metallurgy.;SUBSTANCE: invention is related to ferrous metallurgy and may be used in blast-furnace production. Method for smelting on magnesia-aluminous slags with content of Al₂O₃ and MgO from 5 to 20% of each component includes charge loading, insufflation of high-temperature combined blast with application of aluminous and magnesia additives. Iron-ore charge is formed with silicon module SiO₂/Al₂O₃ within the limits of 2.2-2.5 and with magnesia index of MgO/(CaO+MgO) within the limits of 0.30-0.35, and as a result low-sulfury cast iron is produced with lowered basicity of slag CaO/SiO₂, equal to 0.78-0.92.;EFFECT: higher castable and sulfur-absorbing capacity of slag at its reduced basicity.;2 tbl
