FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention concerns method of obtaining polyglycidyl azide modified by tetrahydrofurane, with epoxy end groups, applied as power-intensive combustible binder in rocket fuel mix and in gunpowder. Method involves two stages. At the first stage, polyglycidyl azide modified by tetrahydrofurane is exposed to reaction with excessive amount of 1,6-hexanediisocyanate or 2,4-toluylenediisocyanate at 55±5°C for 7 hours to obtain pre-polymer with isocyanate end groups. Then hydroxylic group content is defined. At the second stage, obtained pre-polymer is etherified with glycidol at 60±5°C for 5 hours. Further, isocyanate group content is defined, product is vacuumised at 65±5°C and residual pressure of 2-3 mmHg, and epoxy group content is defined.;EFFECT: simplified technological process, obtainment of modified polyglycidyl azide with improved physical and mechanical properties.;2 ex
