FIELD: metallurgy.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal treatment of aluminium - lithium alloys. It is implemented two-stage aging of aluminium - lithium alloy C458, which is in condition T3. The first stage of two-stage aging is implemented in the range of temperatures 175-250°F during 12-192 hours, and the second stage - in the range of temperatures 275-310°F during 12-96 hours with receiving of hardened condition T8.;EFFECT: increasing impact strength of aluminium - lithium alloy C458 at cryogenic temperatures.;6 dwg, 3 tbl
