Operating the pump body is intended for pumping liquids containing solid particles, preferably to pump slurries in mining and metallurgical industry. Operating the pump comprises a chamber body and arranged with a gap in it the impeller of the axial type with blades having a T-shank shape. The blades are formed separately from the hub and connected thereto. The distinctive features of the proposed working body are execution inner surface of the chamber of the elastomer including the execution of this element in the form of a ring of elastomer and installation of the ring into the chamber with an interference fit. The impeller blades fixed in the grooves of the sleeve by means of wedges. Thanks to these characteristics decreases as the deterioration of the inner surface of the chamber and the outer surface of the blades, and the use of wedges simplifies assembly and disassembly of the impeller blades.
