Shock sensor for protective helmet of e.g. person practicing risky or sports activity, has electronic case providing and displaying information permitting localization of point of shock at intersection of concerned fibers

The sensor has a set of optical fibers (12) arranged on a part of a human body and forming a matrix with rows (16, 18) and columns (20). An electronic case (14) compares intensity of light beam e.g. laser beam, injected at an end of each fiber, with intensity of light beam delivered at another end of the fiber. The case provides and displays information to identify the fibers of the row and column providing weak beam after shock, in case of reduction of the intensity of the delivered beam, where the information permits localization of a point of shock at intersection of the concerned fibers.
