The system to monitor textile materials i.e. cleaning yarns, rovings, slivers, etc., measures the electrical values (Qsens - Qref) of the measurement condenser output signal during discharge. The first value is taken at an initial time point (t1) during discharge and is stored. A second measurement, at a later time point (t2), to be combined with the first measurement to give a difference (delta Q) or a sum.
