The method involves feeding a handling equipment (1) e.g. gripper, into an area between mold halves (4, 5) during rotation of a central plate (3). The central plate is arranged between mold clamping plates (8, 9) that carry one mold half and are movable on each other for opening the mold halves. The rotation of the central plate oriented to a longitudinal axis of an injection molding machine at 30-60 degrees is temporarily stopped after implementation of the equipment. The equipment is tilted around an axis parallel to a vertical rotational axis (2) of the central plate. An independent claim is also included for an equipment for operating an injection molding machine.
