An extruder has a plasticizing worm drive (1) in a housing with external feeder web (2), in which the raw material to be processed is fed in the entrance zone and is plasticized in a downstream connected melt zone. An additional entrance worm-drive (5) with external feed web (7) is provided in the entrance zone.
