The laser display device (1) has a laser light source for generating a laser light beam. A deflection unit is provided for the laser beam for generating images on a scattering surface. A liquid crystal display is provided at the side of the scattering surface for generating a rotating light-dark sample. The rotating light-dark sample is covered in sector formation on a central point of the rotation of the light-dark sample. An independent claim is also included for a method for image projection.
