Parking brake for passenger car and lorry, has control element allowing coupling element to automatically change from coupling position into releasing position, when coupling element is moved into service position
The brake (1) has a hook-shaped coupling element (10, 10') coupled with a Bowden cable (12, 12'), and moved to a brake position during tightening of the Bowden cable and to a driving condition during releasing of the Bowden cable. The coupling element at the driving position is moved to a service position, based on the brake position, by an adjusting unit (2). A control element (20, 20') allows the coupling element to automatically change from a coupling position into a releasing position, when the coupling element is moved into the service position.
