The device (1) has two magnetic circuits, which are excited by a magnetic flow. The magnetic circuit has a temperature-dependent magnetic resistance (7). The magnetic flow through the respective magnetic circuit is influenced in dependence of the temperature of the resistance. An electromagnetic coupled coil (14,15) is provided with one of the magnetic circuits, in which a voltage induces a suitable magnetic flow in the corresponding magnetic circuit. An independent claim is also included for a method for generating electrical energy from heat energy.
