The kit has a connecting pipe (11) for sealingly connecting to a rain water outlet pipe (9) of a rain water inspection chamber (5). The outlet pipe is guided to a rain water channel network. An overflow pipe (12) is opened upwards and is vertically positioned in the rain water inspection chamber. A fastening unit (14) fastens the overflow pipe at an inner wall of the rain water inspection chamber. The overflow pipe is sealingly attached to the connecting pipe or passes into the connecting pipe. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a rain water storage.
