The nozzle has a nozzle needle directed into a nozzle body and opened against fuel flow direction, where injection cross-section of the needle is controllable based on stroke. A needle head is provided at combustion chamber side ends of the nozzle needle, and has a control element in the flow direction on a conical valve seal seat of the nozzle body for controlling a leakage profile. The injection cross-section of the needle is varied in size and shape based on the needle stroke.
