The sealant (1) has a molded part including a recess (2) for feeding a steering column, where the molded part is connected with a foam part in a positive-fitted manner. The foam part includes another recess, which overlaps with the former recess. The molded part with the foam part forms a cavity i.e. air-filled cavity that is defined by an air cushion, where the cavity circularly surrounds the recesses. The molded part and/or the foam part is made of thermoplastic, closed-cell foam. The sealant is made of a thin thermoplastic foam material plate.
