The method involves determining an actual active period of a current requirement of an electronic device. The controller is activated with small voltage drop than reaction in the current requirement at a time, which corresponds to the beginning of the actual active period of the current requirement. An activated active period is long enough for a period which is same as actual activated period, in order to swing into the output voltage of the controller with small voltage drop. The controller is deactivated with small voltage drop. An independent claim is also included for an electronic device, including circuits for controlling the switching of a controller with small voltage drop.
