The nut (10) has a nut body (11) with a nut thread (12) and an outer peripheral surface (13) and a contact surface on front surfaces. A radially extending slot (16) and clamping eyes (17, 18) are arranged adjacent to the slot for accommodating a clamping screw. A projection (24) is arranged opposite to the slot on a part of the peripheral surface of the nut body. An axially aligned recess (23) is arranged opposite to the slot within an area of the nut body and cooperates with the projection. The projection extends in an axial direction over the entire peripheral surface of the nut body.
