The method involves aligning a textile e.g. wool or silk, in contact with a drying device i.e. drying mat (1), which exhibits hygroscopic material that contains zeolite. The zeolite is aligned directly in contact with the textile. The drying device is heated for regeneration of the zeolite. The zeolite is surrounded by a heat constant and water permeable fabric bag. The drying mat is enclosed in a water permeable storage container e.g. air-tight packed plastic bag. The drying mat is used for further drying channels in order to determine absorption coefficient of the zeolite. An independent claim is also included for a drying device i.e. drying mat, for executing a method of drying textile.
