The rail (10) has a base (12) and two sidewalls (16) extending from the base. The side walls are inclined with respect to the base at an internal angle ranging between 45-89 degree. An inward directed retaining section (18) is provided at the end of the side walls facing the base. The retaining section is inclined with respect to the side walls at an angle lesser than 90 degree. Multiple snap-in cavities (14) are formed in the base. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a profiled rail.
