Spring hinge (11) decreases the distance between the outer surface of a hinge eyelet (19) and the pivoting axis of the eyelet from the closing region to the opening region. Preferred Features: The distance between the outer surface of a hinge eyelet and the pivoting axis continuously decreases. The opening and closing region of the hinge eyelet are formed as planar surfaces. The planar surface tangentially verges into the outer surface (23) of the hinge eyelet.
