The device has an electronic meter (2) for controlling amount of delivery of a liquid, and a push button (4) for delivering time-defined control impulses. The push button is connected with a storage programmable controller (SPS) (1) for processing the impulses in terms of signaling. The SPS is coupled with system components (10-14) for realizing measurement-, control- and switching operations. A program is implemented for realizing different control- and measuring functions of the delivery system to be controlled. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a delivery system with a control device.
