The tool has a tool head (14) fixed at a working-spindle of a machine tool, where the tool head has a face cutter (18). A wire brush (20) is pressed on a workpiece surface with the tool head in a circular manner. The wire brush is rotatably supported in the head, and is driven around a rotational axis (22) by a drive device (46) e.g. electric motor, in a rotary manner. The drive device has a drive ring pivotably supported on the head, and carries an internal toothing (46b), which is engaged with an outer toothing by a drive casing that is firmly connected with the brush.
