The system has a receiver (1) receiving messages e.g. weather message, of actual and predicted traffic relevant events, which are associated to location and time information objects. An input device (11) inputs a target location, and a location determination device determines an actual location. A processor device (13) is arranged so that travel time is calculated based on the actual location and the target location considering the predicted traffic relevant events messages. A display (12) displays a road map or route map and graphics objects e.g. icon, associated to the messages.
