The nozzle (3) blows a mixture of propulsion gas and carbon dioxide-snow, where body of the ring nozzle includes a probe hole (9). The ring nozzle is cylindrically formed from a nozzle inlet (2). A workpiece spacer analogous pressure signal is provided through the probe hole. A control loop is formed by the pressure signal received in the probe hole, and the nozzle is held in a desired distance with respect to a workpiece surface.
