The pneumatic brake booster has a force input unit particularly piston rod, which is coupled with a brake pedal. A booster housing is divided in a sealed manner into a chamber of constant pressure or a constant vacuum and another chamber of variable pressure or working chamber and has a control valve for connecting the working chamber with the vacuum chamber or with the atmosphere. A piston unit (20) is supported in axially adjustable manner in another piston unit (21), so that a limited relative motion is possible between the piston units.
