The device has a holder supporting a delivery mechanism (14) supported on a holder (15), where the length of the fiber end to be delivered is adjustable. The delivery mechanism includes a lug cooperating with a locking recess of the holder. A housing (19) has a stopper for the delivery mechanism. The housing is made of plastic material.
