The method involves transmitting metal containing slag and free metals into an upper inlet of a chamber of a crushing device, in which rotor elements having chains are axially spaced at a distance and are rotatably driven around a vertical axis. A material falls from top to down through the chamber. Mineral components of the slag are crushed into a fine, granular material, and free metals are freed from an adhering slag, where the material falling out freely from the chamber and emerging from a lower outlet of the device becomes metal parts and the remaining material are sorted. A mixture of metal required for producing the metal part is separated into ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal. An independent claim is also included for a system for producing a metal part from residual products of waste incineration processes.
