The cap (1) has a plastic shell including segments that are connected together and are formed by lateral slots. An integral hinge has linear material impairments that are provided in a transition region of the segments and are made of flexible plastic. The slots are arranged parallel to each other in a displacement direction of an injection molding die. A spacer fabric is provided at an inner side of the segments for cushioning. A size adjusting strap (10) is arranged at a material coating (3) of the shell.
