The box (1) has a fuel cell (12), a reheater (13) for fuel cell vehicle-residual gas, a latent heat storage (16), and a heat exchanger (14) for using part of waste heat produced in the reheater. The latent heat storage is provided within heat insulation layers enclosing the box. The latent heat storage is designed to deliver heat to the insulation layers by phase change when the fuel cell is not operated. An auxiliary burner (15) is attached to the storage (16) to combust a portion of the residual gas.
